Emergency Department

When the unexpected happens, the Emergency Department at Mary Black is ready to respond with skilled, compassionate care. A team of more than 40 highly trained staff including Board Certified Emergency Medicine physicians, ED nurses and medical technicians are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to provide emergency services to adults and children. More than 27,000 patients visited the Mary Black ED during 2008. To serve an increasing need from the Spartanburg community for emergency services, Mary Black's new ED has more than 18,000 square feet and a 24 ED bed capacity. The new ED opened September 23, 2009.
