Should you or your baby require special care prior to delivery, Mary Black Maternal-Fetal Medicine specializes in high-risk pregnancies and deliveries.
In addition, The Birthing Center offers a wide variety of prenatal and post-delivery classes and services for you and your family. These classes are taught by credentialed educators whose goal is to ease your anxiety as you prepare for childbirth.
The Birthing Center
Recently renovated, The Birthing Center features 21 attractive, all-private suites, which include six labor/delivery rooms and 15 postpartum rooms. These spacious rooms have the comforts of home with the latest technology to help ensure a safe delivery.
Mary Black’s team of nurses and physicians will help you and your coach throughout the delivery. All of our labor room registered nurses have specialized training with fetal monitoring, and many have obtained obstetrical nursing certification. A computerized central monitoring system makes it possible for the medical staff to stay informed as your labor progresses. Anesthesia coverage is available around the clock.
Our Level II Neonatal Special Care Unit, staffed by experienced neonatologists, is prepared for high-risk pregnancies and deliveries, just in case your newborn needs extra attention.
