Mary Black HealthNetwork (MBHN) is the senior Physician Hospital Organization in South Carolina. Incorporated in 1993, MBHN continues to work with area employers, their employees and families to provide affordable healthcare services and managed care solutions. The network provides access to more than 350 participating  physicians and the full resources of Mary Black Health System to nearly 200,000 Upstate residents through a number of options:

Direct contracting: MBHN has strong expertise and experience in contracting a wide range of healthcare services with self- funded employers who provide group health plan coverage for their employees.

Community Health Partners: MBHN is a charter member of Community Health Partners(CHP), the Upstate’s largest hospital/physician-sponsored network. For employers and their employees who live and/or work in the Spartanburg area, CHP provides an additional array of managed care solutions for either the fully-insured or self-funded employer.

Insurance Carriers: MBHN holds participating contracts with all the major insurance carriers, HMOs and third-party administrators in South Carolina. MBHN also participates with most national carriers as well as most national and regional PPO networks.
