Donation from Mary Black Medical Staff

10/27/2006

Spartanburg, S.C.—On Friday, October 6, Mary Black Health System’s Chief of Medical Staff, George Haddad, MD, presented a check of $7,500 to St Luke’s Clinic. As Dr. Haddad’s term of office comes to a close, he has been given the honor of making a donation to a charity organization of his choice on behalf of the Mary Black Health System medical staff.

The physicians and staff of Mary Black Health System recognize the impact and importance that St Luke’s has in serving medical needs of our community. “The medical service St. Luke’s provides is absolutely needed in our community. As a medical professional, I understand the responsibility that all of us in the medical community has in making sure that the clinic has the necessary resources to do this very important work,” states Dr. Haddad.

This donation is the largest single donation to date and will help St. Luke’s Clinic meet their fundraising goal of $50,000, with a promise to match by an anonymous donor.
